IT Programme

This Programme was established in 1999. The Programme is equipped with latest computer machines, installed with latest softwares. We have ten computer laboratories which are well equipped with latest terminals & peripherals and legal copies of latest software’s. These laboratories support an environment for Networking, Multimedia, Databases and advanced technologies like Mobile Application Development , AI & Machine Learning, Data Science and one laboratory is oriented for basic study of electronics and microprocessor. We have 2 faculty completed Ph.D. and  Four faculty pursuing PhD , Five PGs from reputed institutes like I.I.T, VTU Belgaum, Solapur University, S.R.T.M. University and Pune University. Faculty from the Programme have won Awards for their remarkable Research and contribution to Education Technologies enhancing the teaching learning process. Few faculty from the Programme are involved in Consultancy Activities. Information Technology Programme has been consistently bagging all five top university ranks of Solapur University for IT UG courses. We have been in a position to conduct three AICTE sponsored summer schools for effective teaching at national level. We have also conducted two national level workshops on Recent Trends in Cloud Computing and Recent Trends in Data Mining sponsored by AICTE and Solapur University.

We have received a grant of One Lac from AICTE for promoting innovation, creativity and Enterprenurship(SPICES).This year we have conducted a workshop entitled “ How to make your own Operating System” sponsored by Solapur University. We have signed MOUs with IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, RBTech & are accredited by TCS. We are also recognized by The Institute of Engineers (India). We are conducting value added programs for teachers at national level in collaboration with IIT Bombay of which we are a remote center. We have an active student’s chapter of computer Society of India (CSI) conducting workshops, Seminars, Guest Lectures and Industry Visit as academic calendar activities. Our students actively participate in online certification courses like NPTEL, MOOC, Infosys Springboard and Spoken Tutorial conducted by IITs. Our Programme Personality Development Cell helps to improve the communication skills, Professional Ethics, Aptitude and personality of our students. It is managed by our students and faculty of the Programme. Our teachers as well as students present Technical papers at State, National and International level competitions on a regular basis.

Our faculty and students publish their research in international journals. Student Projects are sponsored by Industry, some projects are given an Industrial Problem and some of them are carried out with some Research in mind, The students of this Programme are placed in well reputed Multi National Companies and Start ups like Infosys Technologies Limited, Persistent System Ltd. Amdocs, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Syntel, Tata Technologies, Tech Mahindra Limited, Hewlett Packard (HP), Capgemini, 3DPLM, IBM, L&T Infotech, Webtech software Pvt ltd, Emphasis, Softenger India Pvt.
