It gives me a great pleasure to introduce the Computer Science and Engineering department as one of the best departments of Walchand Institute of Technology that runs UG and PG programmes. We have excellent academic records with 100% results, 3 university ranks, and gold medalists in our final year. Our department offers two honours degrees: 1. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 2. Data Science in addition to the basic degree for students who are interested in studying these specific domains. We also run computational courses for students, which make them aware of the latest trends in the industry Our sound teaching and learning process takes care of the students’ all round development.
The department has been accredited twice by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi. It has MoUs with industries such as Infosys, Red Hat Academy , Earth Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and Eywa Solutions. The interaction with the industry has helped our students get internships, training, and sponsored projects.
The students are encouraged to participate in several co-curricular activities conducted by the students’ club, the CSI students’ chapter, and technical symposiums, which help them develop their technical, professional, and soft skills required in a wide range of careers.
The vision of the department is to impart quality education in the field of Computer Science & Engineering and to produce globally competent engineers who will aim for the overall sustainable development of the society. Highly qualified, experienced, and dynamic faculty, along with creative and dedicated students, are working hard together to achieve this goal.
