It is a privilege to reflect on the department’s sustained growth and accomplishments since its establishment in 1998. Built on the collective commitment of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners, the department continues to advance its mission of developing globally competent engineers in Computer Engineering and allied domains—professionals who are technically strong, ethically grounded, and committed to the sustainable development of society.

We prioritize quality, technology-enabled education that remains aligned with evolving societal needs and industry expectations. Contemporary teaching–learning practices such as active learning, experiential pedagogy, project-based learning, and blended learning are integrated with updated infrastructure and well equipped laboratories to create a rigorous and engaging academic environment. Our faculty members continuously strengthen their expertise through research, publications, professional certifications, and collaborations—ensuring that academic depth is complemented by real-world relevance. The department also has a strong track record of receiving AICTE and PAHSU (Solapur University) grants for organizing FDPs, conferences, workshops, and other capacity-building initiatives.

To prepare students for the rapidly transforming IT landscape, the department fosters lifelong learning and adaptability through exposure to emerging and high-impact areas such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Business Intelligence. Strong academia industry interaction through MoUs, internships, expert lectures, industry-oriented learning, and hands-on training strengthens student readiness and expands career opportunities.

Our students consistently demonstrate academic excellence, secure university ranks, and actively participate in technical, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities at national and international levels. As consistent winners at the Smart India Hackathon, they showcase critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving capability by designing solutions for real-world and societal challenges. Through student associations such as CSI and various departmental initiatives, we emphasize holistic development, leadership, communication skills, and responsible professional conduct. In addition, our students have secured on-campus placements in leading organizations such as HSBC, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Softinger, Capgemini, Deloitte, SAS (Data & AI Solutions), Pentagon Space Pvt. Ltd., and SmartRecon Technologies.

Innovation, research, and entrepreneurship are actively encouraged through the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), with a growing focus on sustainable, secure, and socially responsible solutions. The continued support of our alumni network, committed technical staff, and industry collaborators further enriches the department’s ecosystem and strengthens our ability to deliver meaningful outcomes.
