ABOUT DEPARTMENT

        The department was established in 1985 with.UG course and started a PG course in Computer Sci & Engg. in 2009-10. Research laboratory under the department is recognized research center of P.A.H.S.U.S.

The academic curriculum covers a wide range of subjects like the computer programming, networking. Algorithms, Theory of Computation software engineering, distributed systems, network security, modern databases, Data Mining Big Data analytics and various other courses

In addition to the basic degree course, the department runs Honors degree in two specializations. 1. Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning 2. Data Science as there is an increasing demand for the professionals in these domains every year.

The Computer Science & Engineering (UG) Department has been consistently bagging three to five top ranks, and gold medalists at P.A.H. Solapur University Solapur.. The department conducts co curricular activities for students through CSI ,ISTE and IEI students chapter ,Coding clubs and National Technical symposium WITech for their overall personality development,,.. Every year our students participate in Smart India Hackathon(SIH),Idea presentation, Project competitions and Coding contest conducted by other organizations and have won many prizes.

Nearly 90% of our students are placed in highly reputed companies like Infosys Persistent. Amdocs, Tata Consultancy Services, Syntel, Tata Technologies, Tech Mahindra Limited, Hewlett Packard (HP), Capgemini, L&T Infotech, Webtech Software Pvt. Ltd., Wipro, Softenger India Pvt. Ltd., etc., with many students having  multiple offers. Students actively participate in and complete online certification courses like NPTEL, MOOCs, Infosys Springboard and Spoken tutorials conducted by IITs and companies.

The department has ten laboratories well equipped with adequate computers and legal. Softwares.It has a team of highly qualified experienced faculty and young, dynamic faculty who are in the process of tuning young minds to make them globally competitive. Our faculty and students present technical papers at State, National and International level conferences on a regular basis. Many faculty have published their research articles in Scopus, SCI, Web of Science, Springer, Elsevier and IEEE proceedings.

In order to provide students with a good exposure to the professional environment and its needs, we have established good Industry-academia collaboration through MoUs with Infosys, RedHat academy, Eywa Solutions and  Earth Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Students work on projects sponsored by companies,  pursue internships, and complete industry certifications.

A large number of our Alumni are working abroad and hold prominent positions in highly esteemed companies.
